Coming home to a smoke filled, covid ravaged, dry parched landscape – from a clear, verdant green, spectacularly mountainous and colorful landscape in Colorado was a shock. A reverence for life in it’s many forms and stages of struggle is still foremost on my mind. I hope all is well. g

    1. Glad you had a clear break, dear friend. We were evacuated just a few weeks ago. High winds and dry brush.

  2. It is always nice to ‘meet’ a kindred spirit–at least when it comes to tree appreciation. I wonder what it is about humans that we are pleased to meet ourselves in others? Perhaps it is a form of self-approval? Whatever it is, I like how you think. How you write. And the trees you would be in poetry. I will shade my mind with the words you let fall!

Certainly it is no easy thing, to retain a spirit of softness and gentleness when there is so much division and atrocity that can be found virtually everywhere, spilling off the news pages and out of the history books.
